Cartridge Filter

Cartridge filter is a device used for filtering liquids or gases. It is usually composed of a metal or plastic shell with an inlet and outlet. When fluid enters the cylindrical filter through the inlet, and passes through the filtering medium, those impurities, particles, etc. will retained on the filtering medium. Then the clean fluid will be discharged from the outlet. The cartridge filter mainly consists of connecting pipe, cylinder, filter basket, flange, flange cover, and fasteners. Installing on pipelines can remove large solid impurities in the fluid, enabling machinery, equipment (including compressors, pumps, etc.) and instruments to work and operate normally, achieving a stable process and ensuring safe production.

 

 

The cartridge filter can effectively filter out dirt, dust, pipe scale, and other solid impurities in natural gas to protect the metering and pressure regulating equipment in the pressure regulating station. The filter has a larger dirt volume and smaller resistance loss, which can extend the maintenance period. This device has high reliability and safety. The filter element can be cleaned to save the high cost of replacing parts.

The specific working principle is that when the liquid or gas that needs to be filtered enters the filter basket through the cylinder, the solid impurity particles which need to be removed are blocked in the filter basket, and clean fluid is discharged through the filter basket and through the filter outlet. When filter cleaning is required, unscrew the screw plug at the bottom of the main pipe, drain the fluid, disassemble the flange cover, clean and reinstall it. Therefore, maintenance is extremely convenient.
